Doodling Congratulations

So, this week's challenge from Heart 2 Heart is Doodling. I am not going to lie. I am terrible at doodling! I don't even like my handwriting enough to like journaling on my layouts. I mean, I do journal, because it is important, but I still hate my handwriting! I was stumped with this theme, so I went through my stamps and decided to use the Great Job stamp, which looks like a doodle design, to make a Congratulations card for a friend who was recently accepted to audition for a prestigious talent agency in LA. Since my friend is a guy, I didn't want to do something too girly. Here's what I came up with.

I actually used Whisper, Flaxen, and Lagoon pigment inks for the stamp, and then I heat embossed them with clear powder. I added some star stickers from the new Fundamental Assortment to add some texture. It's a simple card, but I think it was appropriate to the situation.

    1. Thanks, Brandi. I read in a scrapbooking magazine why it is so important to journal in your own handwriting. Basically, they said, it is a closer link to you. I can understand that, because I have some of my grandma's old letters to me, and I love to look at her writing. But, I still hate mine!
